Student Involvement with Syracuse Community Geography
Syracuse Community Geography welcomes applications from graduate and undergraduate students at any academic institution interested in becoming involved.
Hands-On Experience:
Each year, Syracuse Community Geography offers one Graduate Student Assistantship to a graduate student in the Geography Department. A limited number of other positions are available to undergraduate students of all majors, including internships, independent studies, research projects, community service, and service learning opportunities. Students support ongoing community projects. Opportunities depend on the skills needed by each project. GIS experience is helpful but not required. Students with statistical data analysis, writing, interviewing, website and graphic design, and photography skills are also welcome.
To learn more about current opportunities, visit the Student Opportunities page or email the Community Geographer.
